Want to freshen up your upholstery? Here is the best DIY recipe for upholstery spray!

Taking proper care of your upholstery has always been crucial if you want your home to look spotless. Your sofa, mattress, curtains, and other upholstered furniture play a huge part of the interior design of your house which is why you do not want to neglect them.

I know that they aren’t a part of your daily cleaning chores. You are busy with mopping the floors, vacuuming the carpets, dusting all the surfaces in different rooms, right? That is how your upholstery often stays untouched.

Rearange your cleaning chores!

Yes, I said it – you need to find time for your upholstery. Aside from cleaning it you can also do something very simple which will transform the look of your furniture completely. I am talking about using an upholstery spray. And the best part is that you can follow my favourite recipe and do it yourself.

Make an upholstery spray!

I have a recipe which includes only four ingredients – ingredients you already have in your home!

Prepare white vinegar, rubbing alcohol, filtered water, and your favourite essential oil because it’s all you need to freshen up your upholstery!

Mix everything in a spray bottle (1/2 cup of white vinegar, 1/2 cup of the rubbing alcohol, a cup of the water, and around 15 drops of the essential oil).

How to use it? Spray directly on the upholstery, grab a clean rag/ cloth and scrub. Allow to dry completely. I recommend you open the windows in the room so that the spray can dry quicker!

Why use these ingredients? This combination of ingredients will clean, disinfect, and freshen up the look of the upholstery.

The vinegar will deal with the accumulated dirt, dust, and other impurities. It will also deal with an bad smells and will absorb them.

The rubbing alcohol will get rid of all the germs.

The essential oil will also cancel out any bad smells and will add an amazing scent to your furniture.
